This is unlikely to come as a surprise for anyone who owns a car, because if there is one thing that unites all motorists it is that poor quality, expensive parking - and the universal fear of a parking ticket - are enough to put anyone off driving into town. ![]() Yet, poll after poll - both before and during the pandemic - shows that a lack of cheap, easy parking is one of the greatest barriers to people visiting their local high street.
